Jules worked at a senior level across government and the not-for-profit sector for 25 years, mostly in health-related fields. She also ran her own successful consultancy business in strategic planning and policy development. Jules has had extensive experience working on boards and management committees, and prior to retirement in 2013, was a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Management and Leadership Victoria.

Before becoming Club President, Jules was a Director on the board, chairing both the Even Par and Engagement sub-committees. Prior to that, she had been on the Women’s sub-committee.  Apart from the presidency, Jules is also currently chairing the Membership sub-committee.

Director: Marg Lacey

Marg worked in Victorian Government schools for 35 years, firstly teaching, then as a Principal providing leadership and administration for 10 years. She served on numerous school councils and led large Prep-12 schools through administrative reorganisation and cultural change. She also oversaw several major school building projects. During the final three years of her career she lectured in the Masters of Applied Learning at Deakin University.  Since retiring Marg has spent time on the Angair Committee of Management and published the popular book Birds of Aireys Inlet and Anglesea.

Marg was a member of the Anglesea Women’s Golf Sub-committee from 2019-2022 until she joined the board in November 2022.  Marg is currently chair of the Environmental Sustainability sub-committee.

 

Director: David Jessup

Professionally, David has over 25 years experience as an IT manager/consultant in large corporations, responsible for project and service delivery, direct management of large departments, budget and financial management, management of 3rd party vendors, driving organisational change. He has also been involved in the establishment and operation of various sporting groups, and held a variety of Office Bearer and Administrative positions in hockey, cycling and ski clubs.

Currently at AGC, David is a member of the AGC Foundation, Finance Sub-Committee and a Range Ball Collector.

 

 

Director: Denise Pennings

Board member since: 2024

Denise graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Melbourne University and has dedicated 38 years to working in both the public and Catholic education sectors. Throughout her career, she held various leadership roles, including Acting Deputy Head of Senior School and Faculty Head of the Arts for P-12. Additionally, she served as a Chief Assessor for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) in Art and Studio Arts.

Beyond her contributions to education, Denise has been actively involved in sporting clubs, particularly the Yarra Pistol Club, and has co-led World Challenge School Expeditions. Since becoming a member of the Anglesea Golf Club in 2005, she has taken on significant leadership positions, including her role on the Women’s Sub Committee starting in 2021 and her tenure as Women’s President from 2022-2023. Denise was an inaugural member of the International Women’s Day working party and currently chairs that group. Additionally, she is chair of the Engagement sub-committee.

 

Director: Bryce Anderson

Bryce is a lawyer practising principally in the construction industry for over 40 years. His professional experience in private practice has involved advising on major infrastructure projects, multi-unit residential construction developments, commercial and property related agreements for private and government clients in both litigious and non-litigious matters. Currently, he is the Senior Legal Counsel at one of Australia’s largest residential home builders.

Outside of his professional career, Bryce has also been involved with sporting clubs and community organizations at Board and operational levels. His experience with the Anglesea Golf Club dates back to 1965 when his parents first became members. Bryce was a member of the Town House Development sub-committee.
