Foundation
Anglesea Golf Club plays an important part in the community providing recreation and social interaction for members as well as locals in the surrounding area. The Anglesea Golf Club Foundation raises funds for the development and enhancement of the club’s infrastructure and facilities.
Established in June 2024, the AGC Foundation is a permanent fund, administered independently from regular club operations, and providing a tax effective option for donations from members, through accreditation with the Australian Sports Foundation.
This provides members and partners of the Anglesea Golf Club with the opportunity to contribute to upgrades of the course and its facilities through the Capital Works Fund. All contributions – big and small – make a difference and help the club.
Contributions can be made in one of the following ways:
- A donation (tax deductible) via the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), to the general capital works fund.

- Monthly Giving Program – set up a regular monthly direct debit (tax deductible) via the ASF to contribute to the Capital Works Fund. This may be discontinued at any time. click here
- If a tax deduction is not required, you can donate directly to the Foundation Click Non Deductible Direct Donation Form
- A bequest to the AGC Foundation made in a member’s legally prepared will.
All donations are held in a dedicated Foundation bank account, separate from the AGC operational accounts. An official receipt is provided for all donations.
In its first year of operations, the Foundation has raised funds for its first two priorities:
-
- Short-range Practice Facility Reinstatement – raising $25,000 for the restoration of the green and bunkers, construction of new hitting areas and the installation of fencing and irrigation.
- Relocation and Reinstatement of Ponds on the 15th hole – raising $20,000 to return this to the attractive course feature and make the tee shot fairer for shorter hitting golfers.
Work has already commenced on the ponds, and plans are being drawn up for the chipping area.
Future priorities will be informed by member feedback.
The Club would like to thank the following members who have generously donated at least $2,500 to support our work and are now Foundation members:
Bryce Anderson David Jessup
Denise Pennings Hugh Pearse
Ian Durrant Jules Rolfe
Laidlaw Family Ted Whitten
Featuring Tom King from K Rock FM Geelong as our MC and Razor Ray Chamberlain (umpired 380 AFL games) as our Guest speaker, the day attracted a sell-out field. Thank you to our generous partners who donated prizes for the raffle and auction.
The day raised $16,000 to go towards the re-instatement of the short-range practice facility.
The Foundation is managed by a sub-committee consisting of two appointed members of the Board and two appointed club members:
- Jules Rolfe – Club President and Chair
- David Jessup – Director appointment
- Paul Waldren – Member appointment
- Ted Whitten – Member appointment
